Why has the Denver Consistory Created a Building Endowment Fund?

We established the Denver Consistory Building Endowment Fund to help secure resources (The Building) that will allow us to continue to make an even greater impact Scottish Rite Masonry in Denver, Colorado. The Denver Consistory is committed to leading the future of Scottish Rite Masonry by supporting programs and initiatives that enhance the Member experience, drive participation by all Masons, young and seasoned Masons from all walks of life, provide critical time efficient resources and develop the next generations of leaders who will change the face of Denver Consistory Masonry.

Making a tax-deductible donation to the Scottish Rite Denver Consistory Building Endowment Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ensures that every dollar donated to the Denver Consistory Building Endowment Fund will be directed to maintain the Building which provides for our programs in the four key impact areas above essential to helping Denver Consistory Masonry thrive for generations to come.


Are Donations Tax-Deductible?

Yes, the Scottish Rite Denver Consistory Building Endowment Fund is a non-profit charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Monetary donations to the Building Endowment Fund are tax-deductible as long as no goods or services are provided in exchange for tax-deductible contributions.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

Yes. All donations are acknowledged. Online transactions receive an email acknowledgment shortly after the transaction is complete. Donations made by phone or through the mail will receive an acknowledgment in the mail. Please be sure to keep the acknowledgment as your receipt.

How do I make a donation in honor of memory of someone?


Generally speaking, during your lifetime you can make an outright gift of cash, securities or other property. Through your will or with a distribution from a retirement plan or life insurance policy, your gift can be designated to the Denver Consistory Building Endowment Fund.

We presently do not have a process to handle an automated monthly donation program. We anticipate adding this option in early 2019.

Do you have a CORPORATE matching-gift program?

 

 

No, but many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company is eligible, the impact of your gift to the Denver Consistory Building Endowment Fund may be doubled or possibly tripled!
